Greater Noida – a cluster hub for IT companies, Multinational companies, and educational institutions becoming a smart city, and a large number of people travel regularly from Delhi and Gurgaon to Greater Noida for job or study purposes. Generally, it takes 1.5 – 2 hours of traveling each side from Delhi/Gurgaon to Greater Noida and it might be more as Greater Noida is the vast area to cover but with the minimum transportation system, people generally prefer to travel by the private vehicle like own car, or bike to travel within the Greater Noida. Currently, Greater Noida has no airport or railways that leaves the only option of road transport.
Recently Delhi Metro railway Corporation has developed a new line of metro in the state of Uttar Pradesh that covers most of the part of the Greater Noida – Aqua line. This is a rapid transit system consisting of 21 stations with a total length of 29.7 km from Noida Sector 51 to Depot in Greater Noida. The second line of metro in UP is also planned and the construction is soon to be started. The fares of this metro are much higher than the other lines due to its rapid speed.
Another metro option is the Blue line metro route – Botanical Garden. Botanical Garden is the second nearest metro station line to Greater Noida. One can switch to any public transport like bus, auto, cab from the botanical garden metro station to travel within the Greater Noida. Public transports are always available outside the metro station.
The best way to travel is to opt for your own vehicle and auto if needed to travel within the area of Greater Noida only. However, public transport like the metro is considered most convenient and cost-effective if the destination is nearby the metro station.
