UP Board 12th Grading System: Practical Exams

Uttar Pradesh Board has decided to have a separate grading system for theory subject and practicals. Once the student appears for the board examination, when the results are announced. Students will be able to check grades for each theory subject and grade for practical subjects. Grades will be decided depending upon the performance of students in theory subject and practical subject. In this blog we will understand how the grading system works for UP 12th Boards 2022. We would also like to discuss the passing grade and marks for theory and practical. The maximum marks of every subject is 100 marks. There would be some subjects which have theory and practical exams. In that case theory maximum marks would be 70 and practical marks would be 30. In this way the marks would be considered. 

UP Board Class 12th 2022 Grading System for Theory Subjects

Grades are assigned to a student as per his/her performance in the theoryl exam and by internal evaluation of  the school. These are the grades for theory subjects to pass in UP Board Class 12 2022.

81-90 A2 9
71-80 B1 8
61-70 B2 7
51-60 C1 6
41-50 C2 5
33-40 D 4 – Pass
21-32 E1 C – Fail
Less than 21 E2 C – Fail

 Note

D is the grade where the student is announced to pass in theoretical subjects. Someone who gets E1 or E2 has failed in the theoretical subject.

Grades are assigned to a student as per his/her performance in the practical exam and by internal evaluation of  the school. These are the grades for practical subjects to pass in UP Board Class 12 2022.

What are the details mentioned in UP Board 12th Results

  • Student name and Roll Number
  • Code and name of the school of the student he/she studied
  • Mother’s and Father’s Name
  • Subject wise marks and grades secured in theory and practical examination.
  • Total marks and overall grade
  • Qualifying status – whether pass or fail
