Delhi has many government and private engineering colleges. Every year, lakhs of students apply for these engineering colleges and universities for B.Tech admission in Delhi. In order to be eligible for admissions into BTech colleges in Delhi candidates will be required to fill the JEE Main 2021 forms and give the exams. Based on JEE Main entrance examination and other factors the cutoff ranks are determined for each branch and it will be separate for both male and female students.
- Students must have cleared their 12th class board exam from a recognized Board from Science stream.
- The students must have passed their qualifying exam from Science stream and must have compulsorily studied Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects at the 12th
- The students must have secured at least 45% in aggregate in their qualifying exam that is 12th
- Candidates from SC/ST category will be eligible for admission on securing 40% marks in their examinations.
- Also, if any university is taking entrance exams for admission and you want to pursue your studies from there then you are required to clear that exam to be considered as eligible for this course.

Almost all the colleges have somewhere around the same cutoff.
I will be listing approximate cutoffs.
- In computer science engineering the cut off ranks range between 12000 to 7000 for male candidates and between 14000 to 13000 for female candidates.
- Electronics and communication engineering cut off rank was between 19000 to 13000 for males and it was between 21000 to 18000 for females.
- For electrical engineering cutoff rank was between 25000 to 17000 for males and between 37,000 to 24000 for females.
So, the competition to grab a seat in a good BTech college has increased many fold. It is up to the students to perform well in their 12th exam and also in the entrance exams.
