The Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2025 Session 2 final answer key has been made available on the National Testing Agency’s (NTA) official website on Friday, April 18, 2025. It was removed yesterday, a few hours after uploading it and replaced with an updated version of the final answer key after a day of delay.
Moreover, NTA has confirmed that the April session results (Paper 1) will be announced on April 19. Scorecards will be accessible to candidates via the official website, jeemain.nta.nic.in. The JEE Main 2025 April session 2 was held from April 2 to April 9. The result will establish eligibility for both the JoSAA counseling procedure and JEE Advanced 2025.
Why was the JEE Main 2025 Final Answer Key for Session 2 removed after a few hours?
Originally, the final answer key was expected to be made available by 2:00 PM on April 17, which was later postponed for another day of objection review after it sparked a debate between students and subject matter experts.
The Session 2 answer key has drawn criticism, with some applicants claiming inconsistencies like inaccurate answers, mismatched recorded responses, or even blank response sheets. Parents, teachers, and students all voiced their disapproval and condemnation of these problems.
In response to these worries, the NTA posted on social media site X (previously Twitter) to reiterate its dedication to an open and equitable testing procedure and to warn students against being duped by unconfirmed information that could cause them to become confused or anxious.
In the initial phase of objections review against the provisional answer key, 2 questions from the April 3 shift 1 (domestic set) and the April 2 shift 1 (international set) were removed from the final answer key for Paper 1 of the April session.
These questions are still not visible in the updated version of the final answer key uploaded by the NTA. These changes are important, particularly for students who use the answer key to calculate their results.
When will the JEE Main Result 2025 be released?
The results are expected to be announced by 19 April 2025 as per the NTA notification. The NTA will also release the JEE Advanced cut-off scores, the All India Ranks, and a list of the top scorers by state, alongside the final jee main results.
Students can use this information to assess their chances of getting into prestigious National Institutes of Technology (NITs). The JEE Main exam is being administered in two sessions this year, in January and April. Candidates who participated in both sessions will be added to the final merit list based on their best score from the two sessions.
