IPU Answer Key and Results
Students appear for the entrance examination and wait for results, before results the answer key is released by IPU. So that students get a rough estimate whether they will pass in the examination or not. After the answer key, after 2-3 weeks, the result would be announced by the university. Students need to check results on the website and download the pdf copy of results and check their name, roll number, course for the result. Then the students know whether they have qualified or not. Students who have qualified can continue with the counseling process. Students who have not qualified cannot enroll in BCA.
How does the counseling process work in IPU
Students who have qualified in IPU CET and want to participate in IPU Counseling have to pay INR 1000. Then students have to shortlist colleges to apply in various rounds of counseling. Students do choice filling, which is like you enter names of the colleges according to the list of colleges you are interested in. Then the process starts, IPU has 5 rounds of counseling – first round, second round, third round , fourth round and spot round. After every round, the student has to check online whether he or she is alloted with a college or not. If a college is allotted then the student has to decide whether he wants to freeze the seat (take it) or float it (leave it). If a student is not allotted a college, then the student will enter in the next round of counseling. This process goes on until the student is happy with the allotment of desired college. Once the student freezes the seat then student has to pay some amount of fee to IPU and then student gets a reporting time to visit the allotted college and pay the remaining fee and get admission done. Spot round is conducted for colleges who have vacant seats, some students who did not get allotted any college go for spot round, but the chances are 50% to get a college.
