Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, formerly Indraprastha University is a state government university located in Delhi, Dwarka. Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University conducts IPU CET exam every year so that students can apply to various undergraduate and postgraduate courses in colleges which are affiliated to GGSIPU. Full form of IPU CET is (Indraprastha University common entrance test ). Students join engineering, law, administration,computer application, journalism, mass communication, management, nursing , medical and many more fields. There are 120 colleges affiliated to Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University of New Delhi. Out of 120 colleges, 35 colleges are government institutes affiliated to Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, New Delhi. The remaining 85 colleges are self financed institutes affiliated to Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University. The colleges which are affiliated to IPU offer multiple undergraduate, postgraduate and PhD courses in multiple fields like engineering, management, nursing, medical, finance and many more.

How to Apply for IPU CET 2022
Step 1 – Registration
Go to IPU website – www.ipu.ac.in , then go to Notice and click on Admission webpage new and then you will land to http://www.ipu.ac.in/Pubinfo2020/admsweb/index.html and then you can choose the course you want to apply for entrance exam. Once you find the course you are interested in, then click apply on and then you land to this link https://admissions.nic.in/IPUADM/IPUCounselling/root/Home.aspx?enc=Nm7QwHILXclJQSv2YVS+7lgQpBtj2ra0efFukEBGzyYatkBLlwA0t2v6lJNoG3l1 then click on new registration and click ok to all the terms and conditions. You will land on the registration page.
Fill the registration form with details like Candidate Name, ISD Code, Mobile number,Email id, user id and password and then click submit.
Step 2 – Fill Application Form
- Now login with your email id and password and after login you will be able to see the application form.
- Then fill the application form with details like personal, educational and communication details and submit it.
- The information provided in the form should be correct and accurate because these details will be used in the Admit Card and Rank Card.
Step 3 – Upload Documents –
Recently clicked passport photo,left hand impression, category certificate, caste certificate.Disability certificate if required.
- Fill the twelve-digit Aadhaar number in the given space.
- Fill candidate’s name
- Mention the Father / Mother name as mentioned in Class 10 or equivalent certificate.
- Mention date of birth (DOB).
- Provide details of caste category SC, ST, OBC, Physically Handicapped / Persons with disability, Defence and J & K Migrant. If a candidate does not mention any category then it will be considered as ‘General’ category.
- Select Gender (Male/Female).
- After that, select the region from where you have passed your qualifying examination.
- Mention the status of the qualifying examination (Passed/Appearing).
- Then select the religion and the candidates belonging to the minority community, their minority certificate will be verified at the time of admission.
- Select the Nationality – if you are an Indian national then indicate “Indian” and if you are an outsider then indicate “Others”.
- Fill the complete mailing address by writing your name and address in capital letters along with the PIN code.
- Mention a correct mobile number and a valid email id for future communications.
- After that, upload a recent colour photo having a white background in which the face should cover about 75% of the photograph.
- Then upload the scanned signature and scanned left thumb impression.
- After that, mention the visible mark of identification.
- Select the IPU CET exam centre for appearing in the examination.
- For the national level test-based admissions, fill the application number or registration number of the National Level Test as provided by the concerned national test-conducting agency.
While filling the IPU CET application form, candidates should keep the following things along with them.
- Class 10 mark sheet
- Class 12 mark sheet
- Diploma certificate (if required)
- Date of birth certificate
- Caste/ category certificate
- Passport size photograph
- Scanned signature
- Scanned left hand thumb impression
Step 4 – Pay Application Fee
Now the student has to select a payment gateway to pay the application fee.Once the payment is done, take a print out. Also take a print out of the filled application form for future reference.
