The BJMC program is a study of Journalism and mass communication offered by IP University which is divided into six semesters. Each semester comprises practical as well as theoretical subjects, so the student could be familiar with both aspects of the course.

Soon after the Second Semester Examinations, the students will undergo training for four weeks and will submit the report consolidating the work done in two months before the Third Semester End Term Examinations

Once Fourth Semester Examinations is completed, each student shall undergo a Functional Exposure Training of six weeks duration in Print Media, Radio Journalism, Television Journalism and Television Production and will submit a Report on that containing the actual experiential learning at least two months prior to Examination of the Fifth Semester

Every student will be assigned a project at the end of the Fifth Semester and it will be pursued by the student under the supervision of an internal supervisor. Both the subject and the name of the internal supervisor will be selected by the Director of the Institute. The Project Reports (in duplicate) along with one floppy will be submitted by the students at least two weeks prior to End-Term Examinations for the Sixth Semester.
The Functional Exposure Report shall be evaluated by a Board of Examiners including Director/Principal or his nominee and one external examiner to be appointed by the Vice-Chancellor.

The Final Project Report shall carry 100 Marks and be evaluated by External and Internal Examiners separately from 50 marks each. The External Examiner will be selected by the Vice-Chancellor of the University.
Objectives of the Course:
- Furnish themselves with the subtleties of writing.
- Develop linguistics and communication abilities.
- Accurate in using grammar, vocabulary, syntax, spelling, and punctuation.
- Differentiate between Writing for Print Media and Writing for the Ear.
- List remarkable highlights of Writing.
