Guru Gobind Singh Indraprashtha College has a strict provision considering the admission of B.com Honors following the eligibility criteria. B. Com and B.com honors are the two major courses offer by the IP University and said to be the first choice of commerce stream students as undergraduate courses and open up several career opportunities after the completion of course. B.Com graduates are hired for various junior level profiles in the finance, accounting, banking, commerce, HR and administrative departments of organizations. BCom graduates are also hired by accounting and auditing firms as well as banks and insurance companies. There is uncountable job opportunities and decent package available in the above profiles.
The admission criteria of B.com Honors under IP colleges are as follow:
- Candidates must have to pass 10+2 from a government-recognized board of school education
- The minimum aggregate percentage required for admission is 60%
- Qualify the Common Entrance Test conducted by the IP authorities and seat allotment is done on merit basis.
Although the entire process of admission is based on merit however some students who are not able to fulfill the given criteria still have an option to take direct admission in the IP affiliated college. In spite of the fact that the admission are available in the IP college on a non-merit basis but this condition is limited to the self funded and private institutions of IP University not the entire campus of IP. Consequently, the fee is much higher in the management quota as the given criteria have not been met than the normal structure charged to the other students. Only 10% – 15% seats have been reserved for the direct admission and rest of the 85% -90% have been filled through counselling. This came under the management quota of the private college.
