The Delhi Board of School Education is a state level board of education of Delhi. It was first announced by Chief Minister of Delhi Arvind Kejriwal on 6 March 2021 and got the approval from Delhi cabinet on the same day.Every year the government will be passing 25% of budget to improve Delhi government schools. Just like the other states have their respective State Boards of Education, Delhi will have the DBSE, i.e., Delhi Board of School Education. A segregated school board for almost 2,700 schools in Delhi was authorized by the Delhi government on March 6, 2021.Delhi Board of School Education will be specially catering to the needs of government schools in Delhi. There are few schools (20-30 government schools) chosen under Delhi Board of School Education. The main vision for forming a new board, Delhi Board of School Education is to improve the education provided in government schools. The government schools which are selected are working on many factors. Voluterialy private schools can also join hands with Delhi Board of School Education.

Now parents would be thinking of sending their children to government schools as the government is working on the vision to improve Delhi government schools slowly. When the government decided to spend money on government schools,now there are many parents who want to send their children to government schools.
(DBSE) signed an MoU with International Baccalaureate (IB)
The IB is a private international education board with its Foundation Office in Geneva. It has around 5,000 schools globally. There are currently 193 IB schools in India, all of which are top-end elite private schools. The International Baccalaureate (IB) offers high quality programs of international education to a worldwide community of schools. The three programs for students aged 3 to 19 help develop the intellectual, personal, emotional and social skills to live, learn and work in a rapidly globalizing world.
These schools are also the initial set in which the new education board will be piloted.The Delhi Board of School Education (DBSE) signed an MoU with International Baccalaureate to implement IB programmes in 30 government schools this year, including 20 of its new Schools of Specialised Excellence (SOSE). The IB programme will be introduced from class IX to XII in the SOSEs and from nursery to class VIII in 10 Sarvodaya Vidyalayas in East Delhi. Admissions will be done only for class IX for the SOSEs, except those specialising in STEM where admissions will also be done to class XII.
Of these 20 SOSEs, eight schools would specialise in STEM, five schools in Humanities, and High-end 21st Century Skills, and two schools will specialise in Performing and Visual Arts. In this session, there will be 1,920 seats on offer at STEM schools, 600 at Humanities schools, 600 at high-end 21st Century Skills schools, and 240 at Performing and Visual Arts schools.
