B. A. (Hons.) Economics IP University Entrance Exams
B. A. (Hons.) Economics in the field of Economics is a three-year Undergraduate course offered by Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University on a eligibility criteria that all applicants must have to appear for the CET (Common Entrance Test) exam along with good grades in 10+2. To get admission under Grade A college affiliated with IP university, aspirants need to appear for a national-level entrance exam – CET conducted by GGSIPU. And on the basis of ranking and merit in the exam the admission procedure will further take place. The admissions are offered by several different institutions of IPU post the counseling sessions after the result of CET. The IP University conducts its own Common Entrance Test for admission into various courses.
The IPU CET exam is generally conducted in the month of May every year. However, this year the dates have been changed due to Pandemic, likely to be held in the online mode sometime around Aug-Sept although registration are open till 15 July’21 only.
What would be the pattern of CET examination?
- The nature of the question will be an objective form
- The medium of examination is in English language only
- Earlier it has opted for offline examination but due to pandemic this year the mode will be online probably
- As per the previous exam pattern of IPU CET, there will be a total of 100 questions of 400 marks based on the subjects like Maths, GK, English, Computer, etc.
- The Duration of the CET exam is 150 minutes
- As per the marking scheme, the correct answer will lead you +4, any wrong answer deducted -1 and no answer will not affect the marking system
IPU CET Exam Instructions needed to be taken under consideration while appearing for CET:
- In case of an offline exam, candidates should bring two black ballpoint pens to the Examination hall for marking responses on OMR answer sheets. Use of pencil is not allowed.
- The CET exam cannot be re-evaluated or given a chance for reassessment under any circumstances.
- They are advised not to fold the OMR sheet or make any stray or overlay marks anywhere on that.
- Candidates are required to obscure one circle only for each question. In the event darken more than one circle for a question, the response will automatically be invalidated and a negative mark will be assigned for that question.
- Candidates are advised to be cautious while handling their OMR response sheet as they will not get another one in case of any error.
