Bachelor of Technology [B.Tech] (Artificial Intelligence ) Admission Process, Course Fee, Syllabus, Eligibility, Scope and Salary
BTech Artificial Intelligence Overview
Bachelor of Technology in Artificial Intelligence or B.Tech Artificial Intelligence is a four-year UG degree programme, which is offered under the Engineering stream. Artificial Intelligence is teaching a machine the capability to solve problems using complex algorithms which human beings resolve using their natural intelligence. In short, Artificial Intelligence is engineering and science, which enables a machine or a computer to carry out tasks short of much human intervention.
In the Artificial Intelligence undergraduate degree programme, the students are trained about the languages understood by machines or computers through which humans can interact with them to be able to make them perform some tasks. Languages like JAVA, Prolog, Lisp, R and Python are some of the common machine languages taught to the students during their B.Tech degree study.

B.Tech Artificial Intelligence Eligibility Criteria
Different universities have different eligibility criteria, however there are few essentials ones which are same for all. To be eligible for the B.Tech in Artificial Intelligence program –
- The students must have cleared their 10+2 qualifying exam from a recognized Board from Science field.
- The students should have passed their qualifying exam from Science stream and have to have studied Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects at the 12th level.
- The students must have secured at least 50% aggregate in their qualifying exam that is 12th exam.
- Candidates from SC/ST category will be eligible for admission on securing 45% marks in their matric examinations.
- Also, specific university based examinations are required to be cleared to be considered as eligible for this course.
B.Tech Artificial Intelligence Admission Process
Admission in the given course is fundamentally processed through two methods. Either an institute might conduct an entrance exam or it will scrutinize the applicants merit through considering their performance in 10+2 metric exams. Some institutes conduct their sole entrance exams which are completely focused on allocation of seats in the given course. While other institutes also conduct similar B.Tech Entrance Exams, they also judge the performance of the students in the other all India wide exams like JEE, for granting due admission. Steps in relation to admission procedure are listed below.
Step 1: The candidate wants to pass his 10+2 with a minimum aggregate of 50%, this aggregate percentage might vary, but it’s similar for most institutes. Only after securing it would he be eligible for sitting for entrance exams for registration in the due program.
Step 2:Different institutes conduct different entrance exams, for getting into an IIT the applicant needs to pass IIT-JEE Advanced, some universities like Chandigarh university have their own exams which are mandatory to be cleared for gaining a seat. Likewise, Universities like Indraprastha (IP University) consider the marks of applicants in both their own university exam as well as in all India wide exams like JEE.
Step 3: Then the student is need to go through the counseling stage, some institutes/colleges might even have a personal interview stage which may be required to be cleared by the candidate.
