JEE Advanced Eligibility Criteria

JEE Main is the basic examination that has to be given by the students to seek admission in top engineering colleges. The students need to clear the following eligibility criteria to appear for JEE Main 2021.

Age Limit The candidates do not have any age limit to appear for JEE Main 2021. Any applicant who cleared class 12th or its equivalent in the current years like 2019, 2020, or appearing in 2021 can apply for JEE Main 2021.

JEE Advanced Eligibility

JEE Advanced eligibility criteria are the basic criteria that the students have to clear to appear for the JEE Advanced examination. To appear for JEE Advanced, the candidates have to clear JEE Mains. The criteria for appearing for the examination has changed over the years, the table for eligibility criteria is given below.

Qualifying exam The candidates must have cleared class 12 examination in 2020 or the candidates who are appearing for the exam in 2021 will also be eligible for JEE Advanced.
Number of attempts The candidates are only allowed to attempt the examination two times in two consecutive years.
Age Limit The students of the General category should be born on or after October 1, 1996. Relaxation is provided to candidates of SC/ST/PwD of 5 years

3. How Many JEE Main Candidates are Eligible to Appear for JEE Advanced?
Ans- A total of 2.50 lakh AIR holders of JEE Main will be eligible to appear for JEE Advanced.
