How Is The Air And Rail Connectivity In Greater Noida?

Greater Noida – a hub for educational institutions and IT companies, turns this place to a highly developed social infrastructure. A decade back, nothing was there, hardly any company or colleges could be found there with no traveling convenience. However, now the roads are well maintained and connected to Delhi and Gurgaon. Also, a new metro route has been recently developed and ongoing construction of the largest airport of India makes this place highly valuable especially for professionals and students.

To begin with the Metro routes, as mentioned above a new line – Aqua line, of Delhi Metro Railway Corporation has come into functioning. It covers most of the part of the Greater Noida with a rapid transit system consisting of 21 stations with a total length of 29.7 km from Noida Sector 51 to Depot in Greater Noida. One needs to exit from the Noida metro station to change the metro lines. A different metro station has been set up for the Aqua line alongside different tickets/tokens needs to acquire to travel on that particular line. Soon the line will cover other parts of Uttar Pradesh also.

Another railway option is the Blue line metro route – Botanical Garden. Botanical Garden is the second nearest metro station line to Greater Noida. One can switch to any public transport like bus, auto, cab from the botanical garden metro station to travel within the Greater Noida. Public transports are always available outside the metro station.

Currently, the nearest airport to Greater Noida is Delhi (DEL) Airport which is 44.4 km away. However, a new airport construction has been going named as Noida International Airport, also known as Jewar Airport and officially Noida International Greenfield Airport near the town of Jewar in Gautam Buddh Nagar, Uttar Pradesh. The government expects the Jewar International Airport to become operational by 2024. With six runways once all its expansions are completed, it will be India’s largest airport and among the world’s largest airports.
